Out-of-State Learning Placements (abbreviated as OOSLPs) are learning placements offered for credit that take place outside the state of Utah.
The Department of Education released new Federal Regulations requiring the U to provide disclosures to students about professional licensure/certification.
The University of Utah has been a member of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) since November 2016. SARA reduces the number of other-state regulations to continually monitor and the number of applications and surety bonds the U has to complete, resulting in more efficiency in the authorization process and enabling the U to continue to offer and expand educational activities to students — both in and out of the state of Utah!
